What’s in a Name?
The Amaranth in myth is a deep red or purple, never fading flower and a symbol of immortality. It is unwithering, never changing, always beautiful. In ancient Greece the flower was thought to have special healing powers and was used to decorate images of the gods and tombs.
To call this flower by any other name, one would call it Love Lies Bleeding.
And here in this moniker lies all my fears, hopes and wistful dreams
Picture Imperfect
Modelling, for me, is not so much of an aspiration as being able to be part of the creation or showcasing of something beautiful that will not fade with time, as so much in this life does. Capturing a grain of sand before it falls and the time has passed. It is about making real the imaginary, blurring the lines between fact and fantasy. Living out a 2d existence which would otherwise not exist at all. Only in the stationary, ephemeral moment can you catch a glimpse of the intangible perfection. I hope you enjoy the images scatted in this little piece of web as much as I have enjoyed making them.
The Times Between
I achieved my degree and a number of other certificates in Marketing a number of years ago and now work in that field. During my spare time I use these skills to design websites and flyers, write for magazines, and assist in general promotion for all the darkly talented people I am fortunate to know. I have also recently become a mother which is one of the most rewarding and challenging things I have done to date – bringing up the next generation of free thinking creatives.
